Most people have only tasted industrial chocolate—overly processed, packed with sugar, and stripped of its natural character. At Reading Chocolate, we want to change that. Our mission is to help people discover what real chocolate is meant to be: rich with the natural flavors of cacao beans, shaped by their origin, and crafted with care. By avoiding unnecessary additives and focusing on small-batch, bean-to-bar methods, we invite people to experience chocolate in its purest, most honest form—flavorful, complex, and deeply satisfying.

Naturally, every batch is unique

The flavor of great chocolate begins with great cacao. We source high-quality beans from across the world that are naturally rich in flavor—each variety with its own unique notes shaped by soil, climate, and fermentation. Our process is very minimal and we let the cacao speak for itself in every bite. Each batch of our chocolate is a true reflection of the cacao beans. As every batch of cacao beans will be unique, every batch of our chocolate will be unique - as nature intended!

Why the name "Reading Chocolate"?

Along with educating consumers about the origins and the process of making chocolate, we aim to help kids and adults alike understand the ingredients that go into chocolate. We’ll teach them how to read labels and spot the difference between our craft chocolate and industrial chocolates. You'll learn how to recognize high sugar content and why moderation is key for a healthier, happier chocolate experience. We feel understanding these simple facts will empower you to make better choices and enjoy chocolate in a mindful way.

We are NUT FREE chocolate brand

"I’ve often faced the frustrating reality of avoiding most chocolates. Even the most tempting bars in stores carry allergen warnings: “May contain traces of tree nuts (such as hazelnuts)”. The anxiety of not knowing whether something I eat could send me to the hospital is a feeling only those with allergies truly understand. On rare occasions when I find a product or dish that is genuinely free of nuts, the sense of relief is immense. I longed for a chocolate brand that could offer this same assurance—one I could trust implicitly. Thus we decided to create product without any traces of nuts. I wish I could create a brand free from all allergens, but for now, we are only free from nuts."
